It has been a very slow week this week. I think mostly because my days at work have gone by very slow. The workload right now is sort of low so I have a lot of flex time. That’s nice in some ways and bad in others. Bad in that it makes the days seem much longer, and I keep looking at the clock, and keep waiting for 5:30 to come around. I don’t get a lot of weeks like this but they do come once in awhile.
Car inspection went beautifully yesterday. He spent about 20 mins looking at the car and found virtually nothing wrong with it. Didn’t see the giant scape on the bumper or the nasty scratch on the trunk but found some weird scratch on the interior. Regardless, it looks like I’m on the home stretch. So, with that being the case, I think I will turn the car in this weekend as opposed to next weekend. I’d sooner get rid of the vehicle now since I am going to be on the road next week and this would be one less thing to worry about.
Returning of the vehicle means an era of DING on my license plate will be over. I’m not moving the plates to Tamara’s car and odds are, if we do get another vehicle in the future, I won’t put them on. I’ll have to see. I’ve had the plates about 4 and a half years and I think I am ready to retire them. I’ll hang them up in my computer room or something. Maybe hang on in my cube at work.
I really wish I had more to say this morning but I am kind of at a loss. It is good news to know that there are only 6 days left til a new episode of Lost hits the air. I watched the rerun of I Do last night on ASN (or at least parts of it during the commercials from American Idol) and I am psyched for the second half of the season. From what I hear, next week’s episode (307) as well as 308, and 314 are the big ones. Major things coming up. Should be cool.
Looks like Little Rock is going to be warm while I am down there. Anywhere from 5 to 14 degrees. I’ll bring my coat but it will be nice to go somewhere warm. It also means I get to try out that CanPass eye scan thing when I get back through Toronto. My flight arrives around midnight so God knows I’ll want to be getting to the hotel as quickly as possible. They closed terminal 2 which means that regardless of what gate I land at, I can either walk to the hotel, or take a 3 minute tram ride. Thank God. Waiting for that shuttle seemed like an eternity and God knows at midnight, after being in airports and aircraft for 6 hours, I want to go sleep, nothing more.
Well, as it is on many of my posts, I must sign off as nature calls. Time to go play some more Bejewelled while I see a man about a horse.
