So I made it back to Warwick, Rhode Island (outside Providence) and I got here so damn early, that I spent the whole day doing very little. I got into my hotel, flipped on the TV and saw that HBO was running a Star Wars marathon so I ended up watching 4 Star Wars movies today. I also slept part of the day since I had to be up at 4am, to catch my flight at 6am. Man, I seriously need to start making sure my trips leave later than 6am. That’s a hard days travel. However, it was funny that the flight from Toronto to Providence only had 3 people on the plane, myself included.
I’m pondering whether or not I will go to sleep now. I need to be up in the morning as this training starts at 8am but I also need to shower, and iron my clothes. I will make sure that I get my stuff ironed completely tomorrow night, so I don’t have to get up any earlier. Another nice thing about this hotel is that they have a free hot breakfast in the morning so I may make use of it, as long as I take some Zantac for the heartburn later.
I found a wicked app that lets me rip DVD’s directly to my PSP. Sort of. Ok, it rips them from the DVD and converts them into a format that my PSP will play. Still, it worked very nice and I was able to copy some Quantum Leap episodes over since I am still in the process of watching my 5th season that I bought.
I watched The Amazing Race tonite even though I think Tamara would have rather I waited. Sorry babe, but I really wanted to see it and I’m actually not all that disappointed about Kevin & Drew being eliminated. They were not anywhere near as funny this time around as they were the first season. Too bad you didn’t see them then.
I think I am doing better with the whole J.C. thing. Last week was very rough. The news hit like an anvil to the head. But the fact is, he will be missed, and I will remember him as a good friend and that’s what is important. I will be back in Moncton for Sunday so I will be home for his wake. I wanted to be damn sure that I was back when that happened.
Oh ya. I had my one year review with my boss last week. Yup, I have been @ Whitehill now for a whole year. Hard to imagine that an entire year has gone by since the Compucollege fiasco. I am so glad to be in a place where things are good with my career and pretty much everything else in my life. Anyway, review was very good. I got a lot of stuff out of my system that I wanted to discuss and I got some surprises and actually things are going just as I had hoped. I was a little paranoid about some travel stuff because of what I had heard but the boss eased that for me. All is good.
So folks, with that said, I think I am going to go and figure out what I will do for the rest of the evening and then head to bed. Hope all is well in your world wherever you are 🙂
