Goodbye J.C.

Posted by on March 4, 2007

Well folks, today was a good and a bad day all at once. Me and Tamara made the trek over to Dieppe to J.C.’s Moncton wake. It was a small gathering of people, mostly close friends, and in fact some of J.C.’s relatives (aunt or cousin or something) showed up because of the ad that was in the paper this weekend (same text as shown on this website).

With that said, it was good to see a bunch of different people coming together to remember our good friend J.C. Nice small crowd, sharing stories, and remembering. I think it was going very well and then I did a toast to J.C. and we all got quiet and I think no one could say much cuz the reality had set in. Regardless, we all mourn the loss of J.C. in our own way and God knows it sucks that he is no longer with us, but it is a stunning reminder that you need to keep your friends close and not lose touch. I am hoping that I can stick to that.

With that said, I will leave the “memorial” on the web up until the end of March. At that point, I’ll collect all of the postings and have them sent to J.C.’s sister. I will keep folks updated on the burial which will occur this summer up in Janeville, NB.
