I was trying to remember today how long I have been running Bobsroom.Com. I seem to remember originally registering the domain back in 1997, but can’t be sure. So I did a little digging this afternoon to see if I can get the history of a domain name. In doing so, I stumbled upon this site called Archive. Turns out copies of my website from as early as February 2000 have been archived on this site.
So, if you haven’t been visiting Bobsroom.Com since it’s early days (I think Red is probably one of the only ones, saw her name in a guestbook), check out this link which brings you back to Bobsroom.Com circa March, 2000.
Or how about November, 2000.
The last one I found was probably the one that’s the closest to what I have now. The most recent entry on the blog page was September 12, 2001.
Interestingly enough, most of the links work and bring you to pages that were part of the site at that time. Clicking through links I found an old archive of my ex-wife’s webpage which is pretty damn funny to read after all this time.
A lot of the content on those archived pages I lost ages ago so I am actually going to try and snag most of it and save it so I have a copy. I have some stuff from 2001 but I think it’s in October so it’s nice to have some older material. Very neat.
