To link, or not to link

Posted by on May 11, 2007

So I’m digging through some of the options and things that you can do on Facebook and noticed that it has the ability to import data feeds from blogs. What that means is that if I do a post on here, I could have it feed the post automatically to my Facebook profile. I did a little test run and it actually looks pretty cool. However, that leads me to a dilemma about whether or not I want to connect those two “worlds”.

On Facebook, I’m connected to a lot of people that I work with, including my boss actually, and if I were to link Bobsroom to Facebook, that would link this site to work and I’m not sure if that’s such a great idea. I mean, it’s not like I have anything to hide or anything like that, it’s just my history has proven that it can be a little… dangerous. My longtime visitors know what I’m talking about.

But the fact of the matter is that this blog is public anyway and all a person needs to do is type my name into Google and there I am, plain as day. So it’s not like this place is hidden, or hell, even has anything bad on it. Just a little in trepidation based on my past experiences, that’s all. Besides, I enjoy sharing this site.

Regardless, I’ll ponder it for awhile and see what my head decides. One way or the other, this site ain’t going anywhere. And with that said, I think I better go find something to do. I hate it when things get stalled.

Btw, Moonie, I saw your status set to wondering if Locke is dead or not and although I have no evidence to back it up, I’m POSITIVE he’s fine. They can’t kill him. I mean COME ON! It’s LOCKE!
