It’s Monday folks and as we all know, I hate Mondays. In fact, I really think there should be a new law that outlaws the use of Mondays. They suck.
Weekend was ok. We had a mother’s day BBQ here at the house for both mine and Tamara’s folks. I think it’s safe enough to say that we were not much in the mood for having such an event but we did and managed to get through it ok. The BBQ itself however did not. I had several fights with the rack above the grill and ultimately between me and Tamara, we permanently removed it from the BBQ. It’s not the best BBQ in the world and let me tell you, I wish I had kept the one I had won way back. Oh well, things you learn eh?
I am working from home this afternoon since Tamara has a doctor’s appointment in the mid-afternoon and it wouldn’t make a hell of a lot of sense for me to pick her up, go to the appt, and bring her home, then go back to work for an hour or so then come home. I figured I would work the rest of the day from home and that way when we’re done, we both just come straight home. I can finish whatever I need to when I get home.
I started an “event” at Facebook. It’s a EBCI 1993 class reunion to be held down in Shediac at the cottage. Me and Hosford talked about it a bit so I figured I would put it up on Facebook and see who’s interested in attending. If I get enough people, we’ll go ahead and make it all happen. Otherwise, at least it’s something else to do on there on top of my “Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Lawn Furniture” group.
I am beat, as in tired. I do wish I had some vacation time coming but this is how it goes right now. I am trying my best to hold off taking any vacation that way when the baby is born, I can take off at least 2 weeks to be with Tamara. I think I might turn around and schedule another week off anyway for vacation but a big part of that is whether or not dad will be coming to visit. I think maybe I might just call him this week and get his answer that way if he is not coming up this year, I can take my time off when I want it. We’ll see.
At least this weekend is a long weekend. That will be nice. I might have to think about trying to sneak away somewhere for a day just to get away from Moncton for a bit. Have to see if I have the energy and cash to bother. Speaking of trips though, frig sakes. Looks like I may have gotten screwed out of some aeroplan points from my last trip. I’ll be damned if I let that happen again. Shit-ty.
