I am so sick and tired of having to go through the American immigration process and being given the runaround over why I am travelling down there.
Once again, when I went through customs today on my way to Seattle, I was asked and then bitched at about my paperwork. I have a standard cover letter which everyone in my department gets when they travel. Before I started working on this new product, I never had a lot of problems. But now, the last 3 trips I have done on this product, I have been given the runaround by immigration. They bitch about the fact that I don’t have a copy of the contract that my client has signed and therefore they don’t think the paperwork I have is enough. But, the fact is, when I go through, they bitch about it, and then let me into the country so what the hell is the point of bitching about it then in the first place?
I am anxiously waiting for the opening of the Nexus enrollment center in Halifax so that I can obtain a Nexus card, and skip the entire immigration process all together. I am really tired of being given a hassle when I have a very legit reason for entering the country and they need to stick their paranoia up their asses. Frig sakes folks!!!!
That having been said, it’s a little past noon here but back home, it’s after 4 so let me tell you, by the time I get to my hotel, it will be suppertime Moncton time but only like 3ish Seattle time. Man, this 4 hour time diff is gonna hurt big time.
Now, as for the news of Whitehill being purchased, I am feeling good about it. There was a lot of uncertainty at first but now we’re starting to hear and see things that give us a lot of hope and excitement for the future. I’m not going to go into any details as that’s more internal stuff but I’m feeling good about it and am anxious to see what the future brings.
