Lots of things were going on but at the same time, I got some serious rest and I think I can safely say now that my own being-tiredness is not related to travel, just related to sleeping a bit too much. Man, I really should try and get up a bit earlier on weekends, but hey, I need to enjoy sleeping in while I can as baby K will be here soon enough.
Saturday saw the regular ritual of sausage @ Kent’s along with a nice little drive in my solitude which is nice once in awhile. Darren & Val were over to do some painting on the baby’s room (check out Tamara’s update on the baby blog. Nice work on the mural! Tamara made a turkey dinner for supper and man it was good. Maybe that’s why I’m still tired. Too much damn turkey this weekend.
Sunday saw us take another trip down to Parlee and enjoyed the sun. Let me tell you, it was the PERFECT day to go to the beach. Just enough breeze to keep the sun from baking you and the water was just right.
In other news, I went over to Al’s on Thursday night to help the boys out in recording yet another song for Dead Reach. Ironically enough, this time the song was a really old one that had never been recorded. Powermad. Nice fast tune and Gary did some interesting experimentation with his voice that sounded pretty cool. Can’t wait to hear the final cut.
Saw a message come through on Facebook from Ken about cancelling his account. Can’t say I blame you. It’s neat to connect with old friends but then after awhile it can be a bit of a bore. I know the constant emails about status updates got old VERY fast which is why I turned them all off. I prefer to just see updates on my news feed and nothing else. Lots of emails about useless crap annoys me, so you can imagine how much I just love spam.
Before I forget, the official date for Matt & Tamara’s 2007 Halloween party has been set. October 20th. Expect to receive an invitation is one of many forms. Figured I’d throw that out now in case anyone else is planning a party around the same time. You never know right? 😉
