It was nice to have a long weekend. In fact, I had forgotten that it was a long weekend until Thursday or so and was surprised to find out that I would have yesterday off. This of course is always nice.
The long weekend consisted of me working very hard on the front lawn and the house decorations for Halloween. I spent a chunk of change getting some supplies for the front lawn but things are definitely looking up. Lots of gravestones and some body parts. Now I just need to add in some more lighting and I’ll be happy. Once I have them completed, I’ll send along some photos for folks to see.
We had two Thanksgiving dinners this weekend. One with Tiny’s family down in River Hebert and one with Tamara’s mom yesterday. Lots of turkey and therefore lots of sleep. You know the drill. But all in all it was a pretty good weekend.
I have not turned on my PC since getting the Mac mini. I have been using it for pretty much everything I normally would. Everything is going great with the exception of one thing. Photos. iPhoto wants to copy everything to the local computer and when I turned that feature off, it works great. The problem is, it’s not a picture “browser” really. It’s organizes them. So it doesn’t automatically know when I have added photos into a new folder on my shared drive. Plus, if I were to plug my camera or card in, it will download the photos to the Mac, not my shared device. I really need to find a way to work around that. I have however been playing Starcraft on it and it works great.
This is my last week in-house before I head back out on the road for work again. Only 4 days this week but I have a lot to do so it will be busy. Plus, the Halloween party is in less than 2 weeks. Can’t wait!
