I have to admit it folks, I have been a little lazy in my posts to the blog lately. I think the biggest reason is the lack of time or the lack of energy. By the time I get home from work, have supper, and veg for a bit, it’s time to go to bed. Plus, a lot of time goes towards the little guy which is all good, just don’t get much of a chance to post the most recent pieces of news. So, here’s a few things.
Was off work today as I was not in top form and really needed a day of rest. Things get going too fast and sometimes you need to slow down.
Yesterday was the first day since I bought the Mac that I actually hooked the PC back up because I needed some files and let me tell you, any doubts I had about switching to Mac disappeared after spending about an hour on my PC. All it did was annoy me. Not sure whether or not I’ll fork out the major cash in the new year for a new Mac but one thing is for sure, I’m definitely happier with my Mac than a PC.
Work has been on and off. Kinda slow but Friday was interesting as it always is at work when the weekend is near. Lots of interesting conversation and of course major speculation but one good thing did come out of it. I now know for sure that I am going to be getting some assistance in my major work so that I will not be travelling so much for it anymore. At least it will help to reduce some of the workload so I can focus on some other stuff which is always good.
I have officially started Christmas shopping, really. I had bought one item previously but now I have dove in head first and have 4 more gifts purchased. I am hoping to get the bulk of it done before Christmas Eve but I am a guy and we are always prone to waiting to the last minute. Figures eh?
In the world of TV, the television and movie (I think movies are included in it) writers have gone on strike which means that unless they settle soon, TV shows will be lacking in the new episode department for awhile. I’m going to enjoy what we have right now because from what I have read, a lot of networks will be switching to horribly lame reality tv to make up for the loss of the writers in the meantime. Blah. There’s way too much of that crap on TV now anyway, who wants more?
However, at least with Lost, they’ve got something like 14 eps already written and the show doesn’t even hit the air until February. That means if the strike lasts any amount of time, Lost will seem like a huge breath of fresh air when all the other shows are running repeats. YAY LOST!
Oh yes, in the “I never should have looked at it” department, I watched this video on Break.Com that was a satire of some video. I had never seen the original video so I went on Youtube looking for it and all I found were videos of people’s reactions to watching this video. It was one of those things where you’re pretty sure it’s gross and disgusting but you have to watch it anyway. Well, it is forever burned into my head and believe me, it was definitely the sickest, and grossest thing I have ever seen. If you REALLY want to know what I am talking about, do a Google search for “2 girls 1 cup” and you’ll find what I am talking about. However, trust me. It is NOT something you want to see, nor should you let your kids anywhere near the computer if you happen to be retarded enough to watch it. YUCK!
On that note, I think I will retire for the evening. Tamara’s feeding the little guy and I have a fire to feed. Hope all is well in your world folks!
