I really do love living in Riverview, but let me tell you, I was some pissed at them this morning. Well actually, it was last night, but more mad this morning.
With all of the snow that went on over the last few days, you can just imagine how much shoveling went on between me and Tamara. I’ll admit, I’m not the best person when it comes to shoveling. It tires me out and my asthma kicks in and then I start getting chest pain but I di my best to shovel as much as I can. Regardless, between the two of us, we got the driveway cleared and a walkway up to our front steps. I even took the car out for a drive last night. Our street was plowed and I thought that would be the end of it.
Just before settling in for the night, I took a look outside and to my disgust, I saw that the end of my driveway was covered in about 3 feet of snow. Maybe 2 feet but it seemed higher.
The plow had gone by again and in doing so, took most of what it picked up and deposited it at the end of my driveway. Anyone who’s ever shoveled a driveway knows that the stuff at the end is always the hardest to move because it’s typical from the street plow, and is icy and hard.
When I got up this morning, I had to try and shovel that damn snow out of the way. By the time I was done, I could hardly breathe, and I was having major chest pain that is still lingering a bit this morning. WTF is wrong with the plows? There was no need to re-plow the street and all it did was fill the ends of the driveways on one side of the street with rock hard snow. Man it pisses me off. This happens every year and every year I get irritated by it. I really don’t want to shell out $1000 for a snow blower but the fact is if this is the kind of winter we’re going to have, I may need to bite the bullet.
