So I finally had to go see Blue Cross about my little stay in an American hospital. Nothing major, just needed some clarification on a few things and I had to give them a form regarding my visit there.
Regardless, one of the things I was able to do was to obtain a copy of the bill. If you check out the scanned image, you’ll see a large black arrow which points you towards the total amount of the invoice which is $6,863.50 (I put the arrow in to point ppl in the right spot). I showed up at the hospital around 4:30am and left shortly after 8am. $6800 (and change) for 3.5 hours. Works out to about $1950/hr. Not a bad rate. Wish I made that in my job.
Man, I am glad I live in Canada.
