Man, I really am sick of snow.
Last night as me and Tamara were coming home, I was saying how I am so sick and tired of seeing so much snow everywhere. I mean, we spent the last two winters with relatively little snow and then we have this? I mean, holy frig folks. Enough is enough. I have always said that I prefer the snow to cold weather but after having seen this much snow in recent months, I would GLADLY put up with -40 for a week if it meant we could just hold off on more snow. Come on old man winter, ease up a little.
Now that I have that out of my system, the weekend went relatively well. I did some geocaching and picked up a total of 15. Let me tell you though, I certainly learned how out of shape I am after hiking through parts of the Dobson trail this time of year. I’ll definitely be back for more caches but man, I really need to work on getting into better shape. But I did get to see a lot of nice wilderness so hopefully when the snow does eventually clear, I’ll return.
It also surprised the hell out of me this morning to see school and everything open as usual. Did anyone drive out there this morning? The roads are a mess and the winds are high. I dunno if I’d trust school buses on them Moncton roads. And talk about HUGE line ups of traffic and piles of impatient drivers. Yeah that’s what I want to be out in. I brought my lunch to work today so I am not going anywhere until all is said and done for the day and when I get home, that’ll be it. My morning did not start off too good when I had to get out of bed to just put my jacket on and go snowblow the driveway. While cleaning off my car I seriously considered calling in sick today and just not bothering. Not sure why it is I feel so compelled to come into work every day even in the worst of conditions out there. Damn this whole hard working/loyalty thing.
