As the headline reads, the hell with it.
Today, when I had some time, I tinkered with loading my archive of blog posts to the new website. The loading was fine as I had figured out what I was doing wrong before. But once everything was loaded, the website CRAWLED. It was horribly slow and really weird things were happening with some of my posts and pages.
I tinkered some more and tinkered even more until finally, after I tried to just post an entry to the blog, the site wouldn’t even load up the new post. That was the official straw that broke the camels back.
I had really wanted to move this site to Movable Type but for whatever reason, MT does not like the migration path from Postnuke and therefore, I am abandoning the switch over to MT.
I am sure the software runs well as I know other sites use it without issue, but where I am coming from a PN world, and I really am trying to simplify things, not complicate it, I think I will try something else. Whether it’s switching to something like WordPress or some other software, I don’t know, but I do know that I need to do some serious cleaning of stuff off here. So, I’ll start with just removing some of the links and stuff on here and go from there.
