One of the shittiest weekends

Posted by on March 16, 2008

Yes folks, I had a very shitty weekend. In more ways than one.

Let’s start with Saturday. First off, I decided that I wanted to go out geocaching before I went to get my lunch. So I went out and after a few hours, I only ended up with ONE DAMN CACHE! Frig sakes I felt like a complete and total dolt. But the biggest problem was that pretty much everyone I went to was covered in snow. I am hoping that as the weather starts to warm up and the snow melts, I’ll have some better luck. I think it also depends on where I go cuz I have had better luck on different days despite the snow. It also sucked because I was not able to drop one of my new geocaching calling cards/signature items because the one I did find was a micro and was not big enough to hold anything.

Then after lunchtime, me, Tamara, and Dylan went for a drive and I got the car stuck in the middle of some hick road in the middle of Memramcook. I was so pissed off. I really felt like an ass.

Today was not so bad but still had a hard time dealing with a few baby things and I’m still suffering from my withdrawl although I will admit I think it is starting to subside. I am however quite gasey from all the milk I had tonite. Tamara is just loving me!

So, now on to some GOOD news. I mentioned above that I now have a geocaxhing/signature item. For some people, they drop a little card, or sometimes a Geocoin. Geocoins are expensive to produce so I had the idea of having a poker chip made that would be like a coin, but a little bigger, and still be unique enough to represent me when I go geocaching. I got the proofs for them last week and I am very happy with how they turned out. If you click here you can see the front and back of the “chip”. I wanted something that combined a lot of things about me so there’s a few things there.

^Zor^ is my geocaching alias. The cityline is Moncton (which is not entirely accurate but close enough that if you are from Moncton, you’ll recognize it). The weird text along the edge is written in Zentradi (Robotech language) which does contain “Lost” in it. I also included 6 stars on the back which represent months (6 months) which is how old Dylan was when I got the chips made.

I think it looks good. All the artwork was done by me and if you know me at all, you know I’m not much of an artistic person so I am actually pretty proud of how well it came out.

I now have 2 short weeks (Easter is Friday and I booked Monday off) ahead of me so hopefully those will be good. I am hoping to get some good geocaching in soon.
