The perils of geocaching and weekends

It was a weird weekend folks. Just weird.

First off, it was a long week. I was anxious to get it over and done with and although some good came out of the week, there were some things that just irritated me and sort of made it drag on. Long story, but needless to say, I was glad to see the weekend come.

Saturday was the normal round of Kent’s, a little shopping, a little driving and ended with a visit to mom’s which was ok. Nothing spectacular but sometimes my grandmother annoys me. You know how relatives can be. You love them to death but sometimes they get to be a bit much.

Today started off ok. I went geocaching. I was going to start on a trail out in Scoudouc but that came to a quick halt when I realized the amount of snow in the area. Holy crap! So, I opted for Shediac where I ended up picking up 12 caches to bring my total finds to 129. I also snagged two travel bugs. One from the UK and one from the Netherlands. Talk about having travelled a long ways. Frig. I also encountered two deer while snagging one cache, and then the fun ended.

I was going for my last find of the day and I ended up stepping the wrong way and twisted my ankle. Man did and does it hurt. It sort of comes and goes but I expect it to likely be sore in the morning. I then tried for another cache later on and got completely soaked in the feet.

Got home, dried off, and then Tamara proceeded to tell me that our washing machine (that new one we bought right around this time last year) is not working. Indeed, it is tres bad. No rinsing and making a weird noise. Here’s to hoping the GE repair guy can fix it with little issue. I really hate the idea of having spent all that money and it die a year later.

Plus, I had a little…episode today. Not sure what the deal was but was just feeling very insecure, down, and just useless this afternoon. Dunno where the hell that came from but I think it was just one of those things. We all have weird days and I guess today was one of mine. At least the smiling face of my awesome wife and my son makes things a lot better.

Speaking of the wife, she’s stinking up the house right now and really needs to go see a man about a horse. Cripes Tamara. You could kill animals with that. I love you anyways.
