Yesterday was going so well until the end of the day, sort of. Where I work, we deal with a lot of American clients so yesterday was very quiet as it was a holiday down in the US. So, after spending the day trying various things to try and pass the time, I proceeded to head home a few minutes early, in hopes that I could stop at Shopper’s Drug Mart to get my thyroid medication and be home at the regular time. Well, my good day ended when I left for home. How ironic.

First off, traffic was backed up a LOT on Mapleton Rd as the construction season has begun. I heard someone say that Canada has 4 seasons. Almost winter, winter, still winter, and construction. The latter has begun. I then get to Shopper’s and have to listen to the pharmacist yap on and on with some woman about her lasik surgery while I stand in line waiting patiently to get my refill.

I finally get to the cache and the cashier rings it up at full price. For some reason the insurance did not go through. She bumps me to another woman who then tells me that either I’m not married to Tamara anymore (relationship error) or the plan has been cancelled. I know damn well it hasn’t (and found out from Tamara later what really happened. No secret divorce there) so she tries again and gets the same thing. Thankfully, I’m also covered by my work’s drug plan so I had them set me up on that one, and waited for them to finish.

At this point, I’ve developed a headache which is now throbbing right around the area where I whacked it REAL hard the other day. Bad enough that I have a bump and bruise there. I head home, and as glad as I am to be home, Dylan’s had a rough day and so that simply compounds my mood.

Despite her own frustrations, Tamara gladly takes the reigns and lets me just do my own thing for most of the night while I chill out and eventually I fell asleep, hoping today would be better. Now it’s time to wait and see.
