I have not been posting a lot the last few days because it has been incredibly busy. It’s amazing how fast time goes when you are trying to do so many things. I have 4 days til my vacation and trust me, I need it. Although, if this keeps up, my vacation won’t be much of a vacation. Regardless, here’s a few quickies…
- A sequel to Tron was sort of announced at Comicon this last weekend. A leaked trailer hit the web shortly after the folks at DIsney showed it. The new flick, entitled Tr2n, is expected to hit theatres in 2010 I think.
- Although I keep baby stuff on Dylan’s blog, I wanted to share the fact that Dylan has finally stepped fully into the walking stage. We are now seeing him do about a third of his movement by walking around. He’s still far more comfortable crawling but I figure by the time my vacation is done, he’ll be closer to two thirds walking.
- Tamara officially starts her new “job” today. She’s been studying her RESP stuff for ages, passed her tests, and got her license. Today she’ll be starting some of her first work which is nerve wrecking for her, but also exciting. Good luck babe!
- I am off to Quebec City on Friday with 3 guys I barely know. Should be an interesting trip and I am ever so glad that I decided to take the following week off so I can recover from the excessive French, and the trip itself, plus, I need the time off. I’m excited about the trip but feeling a little blah right now about cash.
- I’ve started reading a business book called “Micro-iSV: From vision to reality”. The last book I read was about switching from the PC to a Mac. This one is all about how to start up a one man software company and doing it all yourself. I have been tinkering with this idea now for a few months. I actually have a product that I think would sell, and I even have a specific low-key market that I think it would work with. I don’t know shit about starting a business, let-alone a software company, but I am going to do some reading and hopefully learn a lot more about it.
- My work life has finally gone from a valley back up to a peak. It’s friggin busy and that’s the way I like it. There’s not much talk about the acquisition but the deal closes soon and we’ve seen some very promising things happen in the office that gives us some hope. I am hoping that I will have more news that I can share soon. Stay tuned..
- Lastly, I’m feeling very odd lately. A lot of weird mood swings and just a general sense of being down. I wouldn’t say that I am depressed but just not feeling like myself lately. I’m not sure if it’s pure fatigue, or just a lot of things combined but I do know that I need some time off, and I am hoping that getting through the next few days, and hitting my vacation, will help bring me back to my normal (The standard at which normality is measured of course) sense of self.
