Why do they hide the plugs?

I got into my hotel yesterday and of course, after unloading my stuff, I wanted to check my emails and do a few things online. Well, I had been using my laptop a bit at the airport so the battery was low, so I figured I would plug it in and sit on the bed, watch some TV, and do my emails and such. Well, none to my surprise, there are no plugs anywhere near the bed that are accessible.

There is a desk with plugs, and plugs over by the fridge and microwave, but none near the bed. They are inconveniently located behind the bed where I can’t get to.

It seems that I see this more often than not when I travel. They always put the plugs at the desk and none by the bed. Do these people not understand that maybe I want to sit in bed and work as opposed to at a desk?

So, I’m writing this post, on batteries, hoping they last long enough for me to finish what I want to. Here’s to hoping.
