The end of 2008

Posted by on December 31, 2008

Like pretty much everywhere else in the media, I’m doing a post about the end of the year. Around this time, every newspaper, news station, and website is doing some sort of wrap of the year. The best. The worst. The prettiest. The ugliest. The whateverest. So, for me, I’m not making lists, I’m just commenting.

2008 will be remembered for a few things. The first year a black man was elected as president of the USA. I’m sure that will stick out for sure.

When I try to think about what’s gone on this past year, it’s hard to sum it all up into a few words. So, I’ll just say this: it was a year like any other. Some ups, some downs, some high points, some low points, and a lot of in the middle.

What does 2009 have in store for me? Well, I can think of one big thing for sure, but beyond that, I’m hoping it has me winning the lottery and retiring early. Wouldn’t that be nice?

Well folks, I’ll see you next year. Tune in tomorrow morning for my December Bobcast.
