Today is the official day that the new president of the USA is sworn into office and Bush is FINALLY gone.
I have to say, that as a Canadian watching the events transpire in the US, it feels a bit weird to actually be excited about American politics. It seems that through some means a man named Obama has somehow seemed to capture the attention of the world and has somehow brought hope to millions of US citizens in how he is going to “change” the country. Lord knows they need it. After the last 8 disastrous years of Bush, the country has a serious image problem to deal with and some major things to take care of. Here is to hoping that what goes on in the next four years is a forward moving action showing the US as a nation that is actually willing to improve and actually try and make things better as opposed to what they have been doing.
All of that having been said, isn’t there something in the bible under revelations about a “great man” who will end up being the Antichrist? Hopefully it’s not this guy. 😉
