A cold morning in the house

Posted by on February 3, 2009

For my own sanity, I decided to work from home today. It’s not something that I do a lot of. I think the biggest reason is that it can be a bit of a pain to set up my laptop and stuff in the kitchen. Maybe when I get my new office I’ll have a better setup for working from home. Who knows.

Regardless, despite the fact that it’s actually quite nice out from the looks of it, it’s freaking cold in the house. Tamara made fire and I have been tasked with maintaining it and let me tell you, I may end up moving myself and my laptop into the basement just so I can stay warm. My feet are FREEZING! Time to go get some slippers.

Can’t find my rotties so the frogs will have to do. They feel like they will keep me warm. Here’s to hoping. Fire is going VERY well so hopefully within the hour the house will start to warm up.

This new setup using my iPhone to play tunes off the network is pretty cool but there are two big issues. The first one being that the only place to put the dock where it is safe (as in can’t be reached by tiny little hands) is up where the amp is and it is a bit high to reach so skipping songs is kind of a pain. Wonder if an iPod remote would work with that app?

Secondly, because I tagged my entire music collection (easier than going folder at a time), I have a LOT of crap that I don’t want to listen to. I mean ok, I have it but I don’t want my Robotech soundtrack or other songs of that type to come up all the time. Need to work out a better system for organizing my music.

Hmmmmm. Lunch is soon. Wonder what I could eat. Maybe a donair sandwich. 🙂
