Well folks, my nice 5 day weekend is officially over. It ended this afternoon when I got home, and put my son to bed. Now I will kick back, watch some TV, go to sleep and start the work grind again. The good news is that my work week is shorter and Monday I head out on a trip. Whenever I travel, despite the fact that I am working, it still feels like I’m not working. Very hard to explain.
Well, the total bill on my car repairs has now hit $1800. Let me tell you, I should have followed my gut and not bought this car. I learned the hard way. Maybe next year I’ll buy myself a brand new Honda. I’ll never betray that brand again. I should have known better.
Did some caching this weekend. In fact, I went out and hid 9 new caches not too far from here. I had hid 10 but one of them did not get approved but that’s ok because I know why and I am ok with it. Found a REAL nice litle stream off Gunningsville Blvd. Had no idea it was there. Definitely had to put a cache there. Nice spot. I know have a total hide count of 67 with about 6 or 7 not active. So even 60 active caches is still pretty decent. I also started working on this years Moncton’s Race for Cache. Got a few cool new ideas that I am hoping to work in. Should be fun.
I’m stil battling a cold. It’s now in my throat and I had SEVERE coughs last night. 2am and I am hacking away. Lovely. I must say though, this Buckley’s I bought may look awful, but it does seem to be working for me this time.
Finally had a chance to take my laptop in for repair. Ya I know, I probably could have done the work myself but when it comes to laptops, I’m not too keen on taking them apart. Regardless, it was still under warranty. The DVD drive was dead and as it turns out it had to do with some minor rail on the inside that had come off when Tamara dropped it. Well, it’s fixed and working fine now. Thankfuly.
Had a big Easter feast at mom’s yesterday. That was good. Rob & Sis were there so it was nice to see them. Food was good but by the time we left, I was ready for bed. Man, I really am getting old.
