Well folks, the demolition of our cottage began yesterday and the fun stuff started on Wednesday. We knew that the demolition folks would be coming on Friday so we had to get everything out of the cottage that we wanted to keep and anything that was left would get destroyed in the tear down. Me and Tamara both did our part to destroy some of the inside just because it was fun and a little therapeutic.
Yesterday, we watched as the guys started to tear it down manually. No truck or back hoe or anything. Just axes, sledgehammers, and crow bars. They did not get the roof to cave in while we were there but they tried some hard. They’d take out beam after beam and wall after wall and it just hung there. I think it pissed them off more than anything.
We’re heading down tomorrow or Monday to see how things are now but I imagine they got more of it tore apart.
