Too much going on and with the heat, it’s harder to deal with. Let’s see if I can put in all of the things that have been going on in the last few days. Ok, friend of mine came down from Miramichi to visit and we did a little caching. He’s just getting into it so he needed some pointers. That wasn’t so bad. Spent dinner visiting with Andrea who was in town. She met up with me and Ken & Lucille at Sports Rock where we had food, and good conversation. Always good to see friends.
This week it’s been a bit of everything between family popping in, going swimming, keeping an eye on the cottage, and getting some things ready for the cottage itself. Today I bought a BBQ for down there as well as an air conditioner for the house since the offices are WAY too hot. The thermostat in my office read 32 degrees today and you could actually see the LCD display slightly blurred due to the heat. VERY bad. Need a new window in the hallway to try and extract some of this heat.
Waiting for my eBay auctions to finish so I can get those all shipped off. Didn’t make much off them but it’s better than having crap sitting around my house right?
AC/DC concert is tomorrow which will consume the whole day. Need to drop the kids off and then head off to the show. Really looking forward to it. Ben is coming with me but I gotta say that Jason & J.C. both should be here for it. It would be the perfect concert for the Four Horsemen to see. But, J.C. can watch us from wherever he is now, and Jason will get pix sent to him.
Friday our new fridge and stove arrive, The 12th has the washer and dryer arriving at the cottage and the 15th is the day of my Geocaching Race event. 18 & 19th I’m off to Maine for some power geocaching, where I will return to give lessons or info-session about it to some kids, and then by the end of the month there’s a huge thing going on at Irishtown Park. August is just TOO busy right now.
I have however managed to find time to book a vacation for me and Tamara only, this October. We’ll spend a week away from the kids, and the house, and will be able to enjoy some much needed US time. All I’ll say about where we’re going is that I have been there before, but only for one day. It will be a nice vacation.
Regardless, I need to go pack some stuff for AC/DC tomorrow, and I have some house stuff to do, plus get these auctions packed up. Man, not enough hours in a day.
