Anyone that knows me well enough knows that I hate the cold. I always have. I would rather be dealing with +30 degrees every day than having to go outside in the cold weather. That having been said, it’s been somewhat annoying that the temperature around town has dropped enough that there’s frost on my windows, but yet it’s warm enough in the days that we’d never be able to keep any snow if any came.
I should be enjoying the fact that the days are still relatively warm, but the truth is, once the time comes when I have to scrape my windshield, there should be snow on the ground. Instead, it gets real cold in the mornings, and then nice in the afternoon. The forecast for all of this week is rain. In fact, it looks like we might have rain through the parade this weekend. I mean rain on a Christmas parade? Really?
What I would like to see is about a foot of snow hit us and throw us knee deep into winter and get it started. Let’s get on with it. I’ll dig out the shovels and snow blowers and just start dealing with the fact winter is here and then I can get through the 3-4 months of real cold and get back to nice weather.
For me, the sooner winter really starts, the sooner it’s done. Let’s just get it started!
