Interestingly enough, at this time next week, the hoopla of all the presents and such under our tree will be mostly over. The gifts will be open and Dylan will be playing with his new toys, Megan with hers, Tamara with her new car, and me with my new GPS & Ferrari. 🙂 Hard to think that the holidays are here and that Christmas is now a week away. Wow.
Speaking of gifts, it looks like I will be going out today or tonite to get myself a new winter jacket. My long green one that I have had for more than 10 years finally gave out this morning. I went outside to put some salt on the driveway and when I bent over, the zipper snapped. In fact, it tore off completely and took some of the zipper fabric with it. Now, I know I could just as easily try and see if I can get the zipper fixed but the truth is, I need a jacket NOW and with everything going on this time of year, I don’t see it getting fixed anytime soon.
My biggest problem is the fact that I REALLY loved that jacket. The biggest selling point on that thing was the fact that it had a TON of pockets. I’m a big pocket guy and I love pockets so for me, whatever new jacket I get will need to have as many as my old one and hopefully laid out somewhat the same. We’ll see what I can find.
Luckily, once I get through next Wednesday, I don’t go back to work until January 4th. It’s a nice little stretch of time off. I’ll be able to do some of my own stuff, enjoy some family time, and get ready for the new year. 2010 is almost here.
Do you have any big plans for 2010? The only thing I have on the go right now is my trip to Seattle in July for GeoWoodstock. How about you? Any plans or resolutions?
