Local Blogger Releases First Book
Riverview, NB – January 19, 2010 – After years of writing online and in several local magazines, Matthew Klem has finally published his first book now available through the book’s website, and Lulu.com.
The 140-page “Gut Theory” is Mr. Klem’s personal interpretation of the guiding force behind all human action: instinct. With connections to both traditional theology, and scientific principle, “Gut Theory” attempts to put a spin on the age old question of “Why are we here?”
Matthew Klem comments, “I always had a sense that my ‘gut’ was the overwhelming driving force in my life but I never knew quite how to explain it. Once I started writing it down, it just kept coming at me like an avalanche. I thought maybe others might feel and see the same things I do. That’s how ‘Gut Theory’ got started.”
“Gut Theory” attempts to explore humanity by suggesting that our instinct is the true key to understanding what our purpose is. If we follow our instincts, our gut, then despite whatever obstacles we may find along the way, we will always find happiness and satisfaction in our life.
The book touches on various topics varying from religion, to miracles, the afterlife, but foremost, it’s an examination of how following your “gut” will always lead you in the right direction. How many times have you gone against what your instinct was telling you? And how many of those times did things work out for the better? “Gut Theory” surmises that to go against your instinct is to only make things worse for yourself.
Lastly, “Gut Theory” also challenges the concept of “god”. If you’re someone who believes in God, then you’ll find it interesting to see how “Gut Theory” takes the concept of God and changes it to something that you can still believe in, but with a bit more freedom. If you’re more of a rationalist who finds that belief in the supernatural is illogical, “Gut Theory” will allow you to find purpose with a certain amount of logic and reason, but push you to only take a small step towards faith.
More information about “Gut Theory”, including how and where to purchase it, can be found on the book’s official website, www.guttheory.com.
