For those who don’t know, my actual daytime job when I am not a geocacher is a technical trainer. I spend a lot of time training technical people on various things in the world of software for law firms. One of the things that has been in demand is online training. So, in order to be able to provide online training, I’m having to learn some of the tools used to create online training.
One of those tools is Adobe Captivate. It allows you to “record” things you do on your computer and then re-display them back to users with helpful hints and voice overs. Since I recently discovered how to use the Publish Logs feature in GSAK 8, I thought it would be a perfect chance to try and test out my new Captivate skills by creating a tutorial video.
Below is a five minute quick tutorial on how to use GSAK 8 for mass logging. This tutorial imp0rts a field note file from a GPS and then applies a generic log to all the finds, and uploads it to GC. It also shows you how to edit individual logs if you want to make changes, and how to include trackables in your log.
It’s not perfect, but it’s not bad for a first attempt in Adobe Captivate. Let me know your thoughts.
