Yeah I don’t typically post on the weekends but today seemed to be a pretty good day and since I was up since 8 anyway, I figured I might as well do somrthing a little useful and add a bit to here.
Turns out I might have a new car on Monday or Tuesday. It’s sort of a long story but Honda called me up and wanted to give me a new one for less than what I pay for the one I have now. I can’t complain with that. So I’m trying to find my step-father so he can cosign the new lease and I’ll be on my way to a new 2003 Civic. It puts a little damper on my plans to get an Eclipse next year but the new Civic has some nice options and I’m sure I’ll be happy with it.
Shout out to Scott Van der Beck who is the student who’s been working with me. He got himself a job at Irving and will be starting a week from Monday. He didn’t last long at Norampac but it’s good to see that he’s got himself a job.
Speaking of jobs, I think I’m going to be deploying a new linux server at work soon. I think we’re going to put that new intranet site on it’s own box so that when we migrate to Netware 6, it won’t be that big of a deal to move things. Besides, it gives me more experience with PHP & mySQL and I’m looking forward to that.
Alas, I should head out. My server room was supposed to have it’s floors waxed today and I wanna go put the first set of footprints on it! Wooo hooo! Actually, I want to get a jump start on the work I have to do tomorrow. Have fun folks!
