He lives!!! After not having spoken to him since like 1995 I’m sure, I finally have found the man again.
Most of you are going, “Who the hell is Plungerman?”
John Lucas. John was a friend I made back in my 1992-1993 EBCI year. I had his address AGES ago and had been writing him but with the passage of time, I had lost contact with him. I figured I’d try and see if I could find him on Facebook and sure enough, I did. He is alive and well and living in Toronto. I’ll definitely have to look him up the next time I am at the Toronto office.
With that said, I am in Toronto now and am waiting for my flight. I had a hell of a time getting here and ended up being about an hour or so late and missed my flight to Moncton. Thankfully, there were seats available on the 9pm flight so I am currently waiting for the one to arrive. I only have 2.5 hours to wait. Joy oh freaking bliss man.
Why was my flight late? Well, there was an unexpected storm that went through Denver and lightning struck a 777 plane that was at the gate in Denver. No one was hurt but it set off all the bells and alarms for safety. When lightning hits a plane like that, they won’t allow anyone to get on a plane, or off a plane, in case the jetway or plane is struck again. So, we sat on the tarmac about 20-30 minutes waiting for them to clear the crews and then finally we were gated. The problem then was that because of the delay, there were like 20 planes waiting to take off so we once again sat on the tarmac waiting to be able to leave. That took about an hour. So, that made me be stuck here for another 3 hours. Thankfully there’s 4-5 flights a day from TO to Moncton. I’ll be late getting home but at least I will be home tonite.
In other news, for some reason when I signed into my Boingo account, I had internet access. Very weird. I’m wondering if I am being billed for this or not. I’ll have to check my credit card next week.
Anyways, I’m still totally freaking psyched that I found John. I’m gonna sit down and write him a badass email.
