A day off and well needed

Since I had to work Thanksgiving day a few weeks back, I was owed a day off, so today was my day off. It actually worked out quite well because I had a pile of stuff that I wanted to get done.

Let’s see. Well, for starters, my race is in less than two weeks and I still did not have any trophies for prizes so since I had time today, I went out and got them all ordered. I got a first place trophy, an FTF (first to finish) and most honest score (last place) prize which I think was my favorite since it’s a turkey. Pretty funny.

Had to go up to the hospital for a few hours today. No, nothing was wrong. Just some routine tests and stuff so that took a big chunk of time and then later in the day, I shelled out over $300 at Costco to buy a PILE of groceries. Mostly meat. Man, when I was done packing that meat here at home, there was more meat in our freezer than it has seen in a LONG time. But, we’re good for awhile now.

I’m back to work tomorrow but thankfully there’s a few things to take care of and things have been going relatively well. I’m pretty anxious about my trip to Vancouver which is also less than 2 weeks away.  It’s going to be a busy month.

Went to see Tony Lee last night and as always, it was entertaining. If you have not had the pleasure of seeing him yet, please do yourself a favor and go next time he is in town. And make sure you close your eyes and cross your fingers when he tells you to. It makes the evening more interesting. 🙂

That having been said, I have a few other things to take care of before I settle in for the night so off I go!!!
