It's been a few days

Wow. I noticed last night that it had been almost a week since I posted anything new. Heh, maybe that’s why my readership is down. Heh. No one wants to read a site that doesn’t get updated regularly. Well, that’s ok. There’s just been nothing too spectacular to write about recently.

I made it to Cincinnati and although it has been raining on and off, it’s been pretty decent. The hotel is … well, I wish I had been staying elsewhere. It’s one of the few times that I’m not overly impressed. The rooms are ok, and the place itself is ok, but I have not had the best of luck. It started with not having a window in my room. Then my toilet backed up after I had downloaded. Lovely. The iron leaks water all over my clothes and I have not figured out how to get the water out. I don’t even have it on steam yet it steams and spills water everywhere. I’ll be sure to iron the rest of my clothes tonite so if they get wet, they can dry out. Plus, there’s a hotel which is literally across the street from where I am working and I believe is owned by the client I am working for, yet here I am up the street. Not a big deal, but still not too great.

Wandered around last night and snagged 4 geocaches which was pretty cool. Crossed a really nice bridge into the state of Kentucky giving me the opportunity to add one more state to my list of places visited, and cached in. Cincinnati itself is not bad. They’ve got some nice buildings and a few stadiums but it’s not super mega city which is nice.

Tamara is still pregnant and is sending me text messages 3 times a day to allieviate me of any worries of her going into labour while I am on the road. It’s Wednesday so once I get through tomorrow, I’m on my way home. I’ll be home soon enough. 🙂

In tech news, if you haven’t heard, my employer made a very large purchase recently. It’s been all over the news and is a pretty big deal. Heard somewhere that it puts our employee count way over 100,000 people now. Pretty crazy. Can’t wait to see where this goes and how it affects the products I work with.

Tonite, I’ll have my supper, veg, enjoy being able to sit around worry free, and then have a good day of training tomorrow and if I am lucky, maybe get on an earlier flight and get home sooner. Who knows right? Anything’s possible.
