The Proust Questionnaire

It’s 12:30am and I am nowhere near ready to go to bed. Surfing YouTube, I came across a video of Stephen Colbert doing something called The Proust Questionnaire from Vanity Fair. I found the questions very interesting so I thought I would do it myself. Here we go.

1.What is your idea of perfect happiness?

To be able to live in a world without worry

2.What is your greatest fear?

To be forgotten after I die

3.What is the trait you most deplore in yourself?

My tendency to focus on what I don’t have versus what I do have

4.What is the trait you most deplore in others?

Dishonesty and arrogance

5.Which living person do you most admire?

My wife

6.What is your greatest extravagance?

Probably the money I have spent on traveling

7.What is your current state of mind?

Contentment

8.What do you consider the most overrated virtue?

Obedience

When I don’t want to hurt someone’s feelings

My weight

Don’t despise anyone, but not a fan of politicians

Being friendly, good sense of humour

Sense of humour

Ok. Nice.

My wife

Aside from where I am now, my times sitting in Bob’s Room with my friends

Be able to juggle

My lack of self-confidence

My kids

Love to come back as a woman and see what that’s like

All of the many photos I have taken over the years

When you feel like life is suffocating you and there’s no way out

Anything that keeps me busy and makes me think

My sense of humour

Honesty, loyalty

Don’t have any

None

My wife, kids, and family

Arrogant people

33.What is your greatest regret?

I don’t believe in regrets. To say that I “regret” something is to say that I wish I could go back and change it. But if I did that, my life would not turn out as it has now and I love the life I have.

Piano dropping on me out of the sky (seriously)

Spend your life living, not having.
